Description

Here is a nice all original WW2 German M24 with an SS frag sleeve complete with original pull string and ceramic ball, BZ24 fuse and detonator - all completely original and inert for display only. Can is rusted, has a couple of tiny perforations and is marked 1939. Stick is very nice with attached end cap and marked nicely with 42dbk, also with remnants of original paint. Can threads on nicely but will not completely screw in - threads on stick might need a little attention and I would not force it too tight. BZ24 Fuse comes apart and is marked 4 1/2 S for time delay. Detonator is also marked. Frag sleeve is nice with original paint remaining. A nice one for your collection. History: German stickgrenades were made as an Offensive weapon, but when the German Troops started to fight with the Russian Army they found the RGD-33, stickgrenades with removable frag sleeve for use as an Offensive, (without), or Deffensive, (with), grenade. So, they took the idea and the rest is History, the Waffen SS made the smooth sleeves and the Wehrmacht made the serrated ones. Please message me to see additional photos. *Please see my other ads for more interesting Militaria.
