Description
Baikal ij-22 also known as "The Cossak". It was introduced in the USSR in 1966, and it definitely looks like it came from the cold war era. This rifle was no safe queen, you can see this air gun was put to work and is still in incredible working condition. The Cossak has an overall length of 40 inches with a brass lined 17 inch barrel. Rifle weighs approx 5 lbs. It comes with a pole front sight and adjustable, dovetail rear sight. Release the barrel catch lock to cock the rifle and load a single .177 lead pellet that shoots with a muzzle velocity of 500 fps. Beech wood stock has the two plastic medallions with the "Made in USSR", arrow and shield logo just above the trigger area. Metal bluing fading in most areas, a few dings on the wood fore end and near the butt plate, and a small hairline fracture in the rear stock that was repaired at some point which is not visible upon inspection and it does not affect overall action of this soviet union air gun. If you want a reliable, 55 year old work horse, this is the one. Local meet up to be arranged in the GTA, $100.128 total views, 1 today
